Clinics and Services
Diabetes Clinic and Asthma Checks
Please ask for an appointment with one of the nursing team. We advise trying to arrange your annual review appointments in your birthday month.
Please ask to see the nurse for an appointment.
Family Planning Services
For advice on contraception, please book to see a nurse or doctor. We do not offer coil or cap fitting, or implant insertion, but you can get these at family planning clinics.
First Contact Physiotherapist
We have a first contact physiotherapy service offered by Lynne, an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist. She can offer an assessment and advice and will arrange investigations / scans, further referrals for courses of physiotherapy, or will recommend seeing a GP assessment or hospital clinic referral when necessary.
Please see our appointments page for how to refer yourself for physiotherapy.
For advice on contraception early after unprotected sex book an urgent appointment to see a doctor. Further information and other places where this is available see Fresh4Manchester.
Drug & Alcohol Problems
We are able to give advice and discuss anxieties about drug problems, in liaison with other services. View more drugs and alcohol advice.
We have two counsellors at the surgery who can offer talking therapy. Please consult a doctor first about this. For other options including self-referral for counselling without seeing a doctor first, see our Counselling page.
Domestic Abuse Support
All staff are trained to support people facing domestic abuse or violence and can arrange a meeting with an IRIS worker at the surgery or elsewhere. Please see our Domestic Abuse page for more information.
Focused Care Workers
We have two Focused Care Workers, Suzanne and Matt, who can support people who have needs that go beyond things that can be solved in a consultation with a GP. They can help you overcome blocks that are getting in the way of good health from employment matters, unemployment matters, benefits, debt problems, tackling situations of injustice, social and domestic stresses and more. Please ask your GP about this.
We have pharmacists who work from the practice checking repeat prescriptions, undertaking medication reviews and supporting safe prescribing of medications. They can help answer any medication questions you may have. See our prescriptions page for information on how to get in touch.
