How to order a repeat prescription
- By hand – Please leave your written request for repeats at reception
- By post – Fill in the prescription form using the slip issued with your last prescription and post it to the surgery with enclosed stamped and addressed envelope.
- By arrangement with your pharmacy – but please ensure that only what you require each month is requested rather than building up a stock at home.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone unless you are housebound or if we have made a prior arrangement.
We recommend that everyone registers for Electronic Prescribing. This is a simple process of nominated a pharmacy by clicking on the button above. This can be any community pharmacy in England and can be changed as often as you wish.
The practice will send all prescriptions electronically to your nominated pharmacy unless instructed otherwise. This is a paperless and almost instant way for the doctor to send your prescription to your pharmacy!
Collecting your Prescription
Please allow two working days for us to process your prescription request although often if will take less time than this.
Requests for repeat prescriptions may be turned down if our records show you should already have adequate supplies, for example if you were given a prescription for the item recently. If you need to get extra supplies early, e.g. if you are going on a long holiday, please include this information when you make the request.
